The Centre is headed by Jiri Lukas who serves as the director. Jiri Bartek and Marja Jäättelä serve as deputy directors for International collaboration and for Educational aspects of the Centre’s activities, respectively.

Guarn Whitaker-Nissen serves as an administrative coordinator. Her area of responsibility includes administrative matters, practical arrangements and coodinating tasks, budget management, home page maintenance and liaison for Danish and international universities institutions and organizations.

The research division of the Centre consists of several experienced assistant senior scientists who participate in supervision of young researchers as well as some sophisticated experimental tasks (such as live-cell imaging).

The young scientists (Ph.D. students and postdocs) employed by the Centre are integrated in the core labs together with the senior scientists to achieve optimal cooperation.

Several technicians are closely involved in the experimental work; they also maintain the reagent repository, keep a collection of cryopreserved cell lines, and overlook the orders of consumables and equipment as well as safety issues.

In addition to regular weekly project discussion within the individual groups, the mutual interaction within the Centre includes the biweekly meetings for all Centre associated junior and senior scientists. Particular emphasis in these meetings is put on identification of potential links between related projects, to expand the analytical level of the experiments, and to promote collaboration.
The working language of the Centre is English; the working languages of the Institute of Cancer Biology at the Danish Cancer Society (the host Institute) are English and Danish.
