About ECRS

The XIXth Acta Oncologica Symposium

The European Cancer Rehabilitation & Survivorship Symposium (ECRS) 2020 will take place in Copenhagen from September 28-29, 2020.

This will be the sixth time we organize this Acta Oncologica Symposium for clinicians, researchers, and people employed in the health administration on all levels in our European societies and abroad.

We invite you to join our conference, which attracts a diverse group of participants, working with cancer rehabilitation and survivorship – no matter if you work in the local community, the hospital sector, administration, advocacy or research.  The large number of cancer survivors are facing new problems due to new cancer treatments. The degree of self-participation, decision sharing, and caretaking is rising concurrently during but also after treatment, spilling into after-care and rehabilitation. How can we address the challenge of rising incidence of late effects in a population of every second cancer patient has another chronic disease?

The XIXth Acta Oncologica Symposium is your way to become updated by top international scientists in our field but also an excellent opportunity for communication with colleagues. Take your time, listen, make notes. discuss and reflect.

ECRS 2020 offers keynote presentations, examples include:

  • Is PRO created by the patients or by us?
  • Patient involvement – democracy or hype?
  • The fragile cancer survivor
  • Follow-up after cancer – does it work?
  • Pharmaco-epidemiology in cancer survivorship
