Symposium 2018 - Call for proposals

The Danish Cancer Society hosts an annual cancer symposium covering topics within experimental, clinical or epidemiological cancer research. The new deadline for submission of proposals for the 2018 Symposium is Tuesday, 6 June 2017.

The symposium runs for 2½ days (Monday to Wednesday) consisting of 5 sessions where international leading researchers present the latest development within their field. Poster sessions with presentations by the participants are also held. A maximum of 15-20 speakers can be invited. In addition to the invited speakers, the symposium is open for up to 40 participants from the Danish research environment with special focus on PhD students. The organisers will select the participants based on the submitted applications.

The symposium takes place at the Danish Cancer Society and all costs in connection with the symposium are covered by the Society. The symposium secretariat will provide practical and administrative support/assistance before, during and after the symposium. The organisers are solely responsible for preparing the scientific programme and ensuring that potential participants apply for participation in the symposium.

  • Title of the symposium, description of the topic, and elaboration of the aim of the symposium (max. 1 A4 page)
  • Scientific programme
  • List of speakers (name, institution) to be invited

Proposals should be submitted no later than Tuesday, 6 June 2017 to the Danish Cancer Society Symposium and Junior Researcher Award Committee at
